Artothek in the Villa Bosch

Impressive photographs, stylish paintings and fascinating sculptures: the Radolfzell Artothek in the Villa Bosch has a lot to offer to make your artistic heart beat faster! The furnishings make it possible to embellish your own four walls with high-quality regional works of art at little cost. The treasures that can currently be found there can be explored at the next lending and consultation appointment on Thursday, 18.04.2024, from 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm.
In addition to a number of artists from the region, the Artothek’s collection also includes works by winners of the Federal Art Prize for People with Disabilities. The focus of the collection is on contemporary art. There is a wide range of works for art lovers to discover: The Artothek includes prints (linoleum prints, etchings), paintings in various techniques (oil, watercolor, acrylic, tempera), wood sculptures and photographs (black and white and color). They can be used to give a new look to entire wall surfaces as well as smaller corners in your own rooms, as the sizes range from handbag to van size.

About the Artothek
The Artothek, which was set up in the Villa Bosch in October 2015, offers art lovers the opportunity to borrow paintings and sculptures for a few months for a small fee. In addition, regional artists are given the opportunity to become visible. Each year, selected artists can add up to four of their works to the Artothek’s collection. You can currently find works by Birgit Brandys, Elisabeth Kohout, Maike Rohr, Regina D’Alfonso, Sabine Hemming, Laura Rößiger, Magdalena Oppelt, Margret Fecht-Nischak, Anke Christel-Weidemann and many more. Some works of art owned by the city were also included in the collection. The Artothek is managed by the municipal cultural office.
