Wednesday, September 17, 2025
Stage I Aulendorf – Ummendorf (approx. 50km)

We meet at the station entrance. Our train to Aulendorf via Friedrichshafen departs at 9.25 on platform 4. In Aulendorf we then start our first stage towards Bad Schussenried, where we visit the monastery grounds and the baroque library, which is well worth seeing. We cycle on via Steinhausen to the spa town of Bad Buchau and make a stop at the Federsee viewing platform. Our cycle tour continues via Seekirch – Stafflangen and Mittelbiberach to our first stage destination Biberach a.d.Riß. There we visit the old town, which is well worth seeing. Afterwards we cycle to the brewery in Ummendorf where we spend the night.

Stage II: from Ummendorf – to Leutkirch (approx. 55km)

We start at 9.00 a.m. and leave the Bräuhaus in the direction of Bad Waldsee, wander through the historic town center, which is well worth seeing, and continue on to Bad Wurzach. This is also a spa town where peat was once mined. The peat museum bears witness to this history. A break is also planned here. The next destination is the small town of Leutkirch in the Allgäu region, where we will stop for refreshments and our second overnight stay, and where it is advisable to recharge the e-bike batteries.

III. Stage of the day: Leutkirch to Friedrichshafen ( approx. 68km )

We leave the small town of Leutkirch and cycle via Herlazhofen – Urlau to the Beuren lakes, where you can also swim. We cycle through Beuren in the direction of Isny, through the health resorts in Neutrauchburg to the town center of Isny. The next section to Wangen is varied and hilly. However, the Allgäu town is well worth a visit and a stop at the Fidelis bakery is a must. With our strength fully restored, we set off for our next destinations of Tettnang and Friedrichshafen. From Friedrichshafen, we take the train back home to Radolfzell.
