Tree walk
Are you from Radolfzell or a tourist? Do you know the Radolfzell city forest and the Franzosen-Wäldchen? Do you visit them for jogging, walking or simply to relax? We invite you to rediscover this enchanting natural jewel.
Accompany Sabine and Jürgen (biologist and author) and get to know the fascinating trees and individual healing plants along the way.
We will linger at various special trees and Jürgen will tell you amazing things about their botany and mythology. Sabine will introduce you to the healing powers of plants that have been known since time immemorial and have almost been unjustly forgotten, and which grow right on our doorstep. We will linger at the somewhat hidden gem of the forest chapel and experience this very special place steeped in history.
The hiking tour starts at the bus stop Siedlerbrunnen line 4 and goes criss-cross through the Altbohlwald, to the forest chapel, past Reute through the Franzosen Wäldchen back to the Siedlerbrunnen in the Altbohl.
Duration approx. 3- 3-5h
Trail with slight inclines
Start: 13:30 (we wait for everyone coming from the city on line 4)
Meeting point: bus stop Siedlerbrunnen – Altbohl
Who are Jürgen and Sabine?
Jürgen Schuller – Biologist, speaker and author
Jürgen Schuller has been inspiring audiences with his “tree stories” at lectures, on social media and on television and radio since 2018. In 2020, he published his first book “Fascinating Trees in the Upper Palatinate”, which is now available in its 2nd, revised edition. Since then, two more successful books about trees have been published, in which – as in his lectures – he provides exciting and interesting insights into the biology, history and mythology of trees.
Sabine Christ – Naturopath, herbalist, speaker, author
Sabine Christ has been fascinated by nature and plants since childhood – both by their delicious applications in the kitchen and by their healing power for ailments large and small. She deepened this traditional knowledge in her training in TEM medicine as a naturopath, in botany and by studying the writings of St. Hildegard von Bingen and under the guidance of her teacher of many decades, Mother Nature.
