From the street to the gallery: Fatin Rahmouni and Laura Rößiger exhibition
7. September – 10. November | 14:00 bis 17:30 Uhr
A dialog of the arts
Two young artists, two creative worlds, one shared stage: from September 6 to November 10, 2024, Villa Bosch will open its doors for an extraordinary exhibition. Under the motto “From the street to the gallery: a dialog of the arts”, the young, ambitious Radolfzell artists Fatin Rahmouni and Laura Rößiger give an insight into their work and invite the public to be enchanted by the magic of their art. The official opening of the exhibition will take place on Friday, September 6, 2024, at 7 p.m. In her laudatory speech, art historian Dr. Ulrike Niederhofer will address the different creative approaches of the two artists and give a thematic introduction to the exhibition. The evening will be musically accompanied by singer Susann Ketley.
Fatin Rahmouni
The street artist Fatin Rahmouni is based at Lake Constance. The combination of color with canvas, street art with feeling, contemporary art with boldness fascinates her and encourages her to face herself again and again. Rahmouni strives to capture and reflect the zeitgeist of its generation. Roughness goes hand in hand with tenderness and is reflected in each other. It is both a rebellion and a struggle. Within yourself, with yourself and also with society. It is a rebellion against the imposed, their fight against the norm. “An outcry and an announcement: We are still here. Together we can stand up for our right to be seen and heard. And everyone will be taken on the adventurous journey of life and realize that the true adventure lies outside of one’s comfort zone,” explains Rahmouni.
Laura Rößiger
The works of the Radolfzell-born artist express calm and intimacy in painterly and graphic compositions. Alongside landscape and urban photography, portraits play a central role in her work. In particular, the search for identity and the value of human freedom characterize her work and lend her photographs a social and philosophical dimension.
Her travels are an important source of inspiration for the artist. These have so far taken her through Georgia, where she hiked along the Russian border through the Greater Caucasus. She also crossed the Albanian Alps as well as Montenegro, Kosovo and North Macedonia. Most recently, she traveled to the Azores and Pakistan.
Laura developed her passion for photography as a child. In 2021, she began her studies at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe. To deepen her interest in photography, she transferred to the Hochschule der bildenden Künste in Essen in 2023 and finally to the Hochschule Hannover, where she specialized in photojournalism and documentary photography.
