Zeller Kultur e. V. presents: Jazz open with Jazz + Rock Kommando

The Jazz + Rock Kommando was formed in 2011 by the founding members of the Jazz + Rockschule Konstanz. Jazz + Rock – the name says it all, as the different musical backgrounds of the members are reflected in the band’s repertoire, which goes on a treasure hunt through the back catalog of Miles Davis, Jaco Pastorius, Marcus Miller, Herbie Hancock, Maceo Parker and Joe Zawinul, among others.
Razor-sharp brass sections and arrangements that refuse to follow orders are two of the Jazz + Rock Kommando’s distinguishing features. The development of an independent band sound and the willingness to take risks and explore the repertoire anew improvisationally at every concert are two more. The undoubtedly recognizable musical origins of the protagonists from jazz, rock and funk are the persistent guarantee for unique concert experiences. Line-up: Carsten Stamm (trumpet/flugelhorn), Volker Wagner (tenor sax), Klaus Knöpfle (alto/soprano sax), Tobias Rädle (keyboards), Reinhard Stehle (guitar), Arpi Ketterl (bass), Patrick Manzecchi (drums).
