Zeller Kultur e. V. presents: Jazz open with The Chamber Jazz Quartet

The band of Freiburg bassist Michael Pöhlmann presents his original compositions in an ideal setting: a colorful, unamplified sound, wit and stylistic sovereignty quickly establish contact between stage and audience. The intense swing of the group has been praised in the press as well as their intimate interplay, and bass legend Steve Swallow finds correspondences to his own style in the elegance of Pöhlmann’s harmonic turns. Line-up: Jürgen Hagenlocher (saxophone), Andreas Hermann (piano), David Giesel (drums), Michael Pöhlmann (double bass and composition).
